Leo Smith, ECE, Wellington:
I was so excited after the course by all the possibilities and with how story yoga can link into so many interests and learnings at our kindy. Some children came to me with the Gruffalo and we spontaneously did a long yoga story with it. So many others joined in and were very involved, even younger ones who won’t usually focus for anything! I was proud of myself; we did lots of great breathing throughout the story, awesome yoga, heaps of fun and even a warmup and relaxation at the end. I felt confident and excited after the course. Thanks so much!!

Librarian, Children’s Network Specialist, Christchurch City Libraries 2017
I loved my Storybook Yoga training with Michaela so much that I have attended it twice!  This is such a practical course for librarians like myself, as well as ECE and primary teachers. The creative yoga postures and breathing techniques really enhance my story-time sessions and enable pre-schoolers to participate in an active learning experience. The engagement of both the children and caregivers in this imaginative, confidence-building style of storytelling further assists creating young lovers of literacy. Thank you so much Michaela!

Yoga Teacher for adults and for children 5-7yrs, Christchurch 2016:
I was privileged to attend the Yogi Kids Storybook Workshop in Christchurch with Michaela. I was welcomed with a beaming big smile and felt completely comfortable from the beginning to the end as Michaela lead us through an extraordinary journey.  Her professionalism and fun nature was with us all the way.  Her mesmerising  and playful voice allowed me to release the inner child and lead me on a magical journey. I am extremely grateful for this fun and informative experience!
Thanks Michaela and Yogi Kids!   – Robyn Alderson

In House ECE:
Thank you very much for a great day of lively learning. It was a fantastically well-run workshop, with a great pace and mix of hands-on and teaching that engaged and enthused us all! It was wonderful that our learning was supported with a take-home manual, certificate and followed up with links to helpful resources, to continue our newfound yoga knowledge and share it with our children. The teachers have been doing some wonderful storytelling yoga with the children – we have started to create some Christmas Yoga Stories now – ’tis the season! A huge thank you Michaela!  – School of Fish Childcare Centre, Onehunga
