Clare is a mother, yoga teacher, therapeutic dance practitioner, early childhood educator, forest school teacher, and is currently completing her dance movement therapist registration. She loves the idea that we can be bodyful, as well as mindful, and values the wealth of wisdom, emotion and somatic knowledge that our bodies hold and can share.
Clare is passionate about yoga and movement. She has a strong background in creative movement, having studied dance at the Royal Academy of Dance in London and attained a first class BA honours degree in Dance Studies from Surrey University. She has a post graduate diploma in teaching (ECE) from Auckland University. Clare delights in exploring the ways we move, the patterns we hold in our bodies and how we can use these to encourage acceptance, transformation and growth. She loves working with children who have additional needs and feels movement provides a wonderful opportunity to connect, build relationship and support children to feel valued and seen.
Clare is a 200hr yoga alliance accredited teacher, a graduate of Samadhi Family yoga and Rainbow Kids Yoga teacher trainings. She has also trained in Restorative yoga and yoga for pregnancy. Clare loves sharing her ongoing enquiry and curiosity about movement and yoga and has run a number of professional development trainings for Yogi Kids and Auckland Kindergarten Association.
